Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto

The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto  is  still unknown  10 years after  creating the world most popular  crypto currency called bitcoin .Bitcoin built on blockchain technology  database  which has solve the double pending problem for digital currency .This has changed the world of digital currency to what is it today  . Bitcoin was launched in 2009.Nothing is known about Satoshi Nakamoto except that after creating bitcoin he had 1 million bitcoins in his wallet which has not been spent.The amount  was transferred after the creation of bitcoin amounting to over $1 billion dollars worth of bitcoin which  is laying fallow in his wallet today.

Satoshi Nakamoto could be: -

1. An individual: Some people think of Satoshi as an individual who created bitcoin. It is claimed that Satoshi Nakamoto was born on the 5^th April 1975 and that he is a man of Japanese nationality. He is seen as a genius for him to come out with such a great work. Some claim that he is not of Japanese original. He is said to use perfect English.

2. Others think of Satoshi as a team of programmers who created bitcoin .They are of the opinion that bitcoin is too great for an individual to design because of the protocols and algorithms that goes with the blockchain database .This group of thought concluded that it is not possible for one person to create bitcoin .To them an individual cannot create a too well devised protocol like bitcoin.

3. Artificial Intelligent: Some people are of the opinion that Satoshi Nakamoto is neither an individual nor a team of people. He is not a human being but an artificial intelligence designed to create bitcoin.

Possible Identities of Satoshi Nakamoto

1. Craig Steven Wright an Australian academic and David Kleiman a computer forensics analyst were claimed to be the inventers of bitcoin. In 2016 May Craig claimed to be Satoshi by posting on his blog .His claim was supported by some bitcoin developers. Craig later deleted the post on his blog and apologized.

2. Nick Szabo Szabo is a decentralized currency enthusiast .He is known to have been interested in using pseudonyms. Szabo has denied being Satoshi

3. Dorian Nakamoto is a Japanese American with the birth name Satoshi. Dorian is a trained physicist. He worked as a systems engineer on classified defense projects and computer engineer for technology and financial information services companies. Dorian Nakamoto denied any connection to bitcoin.

4. Hal Finney is a pre bitcoin cryptographic pioneer and the first person other than Satoshi to use the software, file bug reports and make improvement. Email between him and Satoshi were seen and his bitcoin wallet history proved that he was not Satoshi Nakamoto

5. Michael Clear was a graduate student in cryptography at Dublin Trinity College was a possible individual to be Satoshi but he denied.

6. Shinichi Mochizuki a Japanese mathematician was speculated to be Satoshi but he denied

Reasons for Being Anonymous

There could be many reasons why Satoshi Nakamoto does not want to reveal his identity. Let us take a few hypothesis.

1. Some people believe that Satoshi is anonymous because he is scared for is life. If his identity is exposed his life will be at risk.

2. Because he knew that bitcoin has the good potential of the future currency to be used by the whole world .He did not want to expose himself to public attention.

3. When bitcoin was released it was associated to the criminal and so satoshi did not want to be associated with it. Bitcoin is not created for criminal it is created to change the world and this is just the beginning. Its blockchain technology can be used for different purposes

4. Some people belief that as a genius Satoshi knows that it will  be better is he stays off the spot light for the coin to be valuable.

5. The Central Bank of a country is the only authority to mint new currencies. Satoshi has to remain anonymous to protect himself because he has created an unregulated currency which can lead to his prosecution.

6.  The fact that Satoshi is anonymous will make people focus on the technology and not the person who created it.

 The Team

A website bitcoin.org was created by Satoshi where he and other developers of bitcoin software collaborate .He handed the source code to Gavin Andresen after making final modification to the source code. Gavin became the lead developer of bitcoin at the Bitcoin foundation.
